Phil loves the Chicago area and its suburbs. He and his family were born and raised here. He finds the people are grounded and have strong values. That was important to him when raising his family, and now that he has grandchildren, that point is reinforced once again. “I love helping other people find a home in an area that makes them feel comfortable. Phil’s priority has always been his clients. He offers his clients honesty, respect, and the highest level of knowledge of the marketplace, while giving them the exceptional service they deserve. From first time home buyers, to some of the Chicago areas finest builders, to corporate executives referred to him by the largest relocation companies in the country, his client base is diverse and settles into communities through out the Chicago area.That is why he has such extensive experience and knowledge in the condo, townhouse, single family home and new construction markets throughout the northern parts of Chicagoland. Phil sells homes as far north as Antioch, as far west as Lake-In-The-Hills and as far south as Lombard, though he specializes in the Northwest Suburbs, the North Shore and the North-side of Chicago. He also assists his clients who are moving out of the area by introducing them to other top agents in other communities.
Phil makes a significant investment in the properties he sells. Before putting a home on the market, he works with his sellers to optimize the presentation of their home, to identify their target market, to develop a strategic marketing plan, and to assess their home´s value in the current marketplace. He also personally prepares all of the marketing materials including property brochures and flyers, copy writing, design and photography. Once listed, he offers a comprehensive mix of high quality print and web based advertising, as well as feedback after each showing. Each month every seller receives a Dynamic Marketing Study reviewing the current market situation as it pertains to their home. The results speak for themselves as 98% of the properties listed by Phil get sold.
Phil’s buyers benefit from the fact that he is a life long Chicagoan and knows the city and suburbs inside and out. He understands his client’s time schedule and is able to strategically target their search. As a former teacher and coach, the advice he gives is based on his desire to establish clients for life who are educated in the process of buying and selling residential properties, and not because he is motivated by the profit generated from a single transaction.
Phil could not accomplish all this alone. He is supported by a team of highly trained professionals who have the vision and ability to understand the same goals as Phil and his clients. With their help, Phil is better able to manage his time and focus his efforts on what he does best — marketing properties for sellers, finding the right home for buyers and negotiating contracts. His team includes appointment assistants, a design team, a web site coordinator and an advertising coordinator. When it comes to the care of his clients, Phil believes in a hands-on-approach and always works directly with every client throughout the entire transaction. Phil´s love of real estate started when, as a little boy, his father would take him for walks in downtown Chicago and explain who designed which building and the different forms of architecture. This experience was enhanced through his father-in law, who built many of the bungalows and three flat apartment buildings on the south side of Chicago. Phil is carrying on a family tradition of excellence in real estate that was started in the 1920´s. He loves Chicago and he was raised with the understanding that it is important to give back to the community. He has been active in numerous charitable organizations and fund raising events including The American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Toys for Tots, Misericordia and Walk-a-thons for Breast Cancer. He also has coached numerous youth league teams and led both Indian Guide and Indian Princess groups from the YMCA.
Prior to his career in real estate, Phil graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in Education, taught high school and coached football and baseball at numerous high schools including Arlington High School, Holy Cross High School and Roosevelt High School. He loves art, dance, music, travel, sports of all kind and, of course, his friends and family; his wife Lynne, his children Jennifer, Marc and Shaun, and his grandchildren, Peter and Nolan.
